Duties: |
| With moderate level of reserve and settlement authority and under limited supervision/mentoring, manage assigned caseload of indemnity and complex medical only claims of reported injury or occupational disease. Investigates, evaluates, negotiates and settles claims in accordance with Claim Best Practices; authorizes payment of medical and wage loss benefit; assigns, directs and monitors rehabilitation and medical case management activities; responds to inquiries and participates in claims review meetings with customers and producers. Occasional travel. |
Qualifications: |
CORE COMPETENCY: Customer Service, Initiative, Accountability. Education and Experience: Requires bachelor’s degree plus either 2 years workers’ compensation indemnity work experience or graduate of MSF Trainee Program plus 1 year of work as CEI. If no bachelor’s degree and not a graduate of MSF Trainee Program (or equivalent program), high school graduate or GED plus 6 years of workers’ compensation indemnity work experience.
